ADG Expo 2008 - August 2008
Under the Patronage of H.E. the President of
the Republic General Michel Sleiman , the ADG’s 15th Art Exhibition took place between the 20th and the 24th of August 2008. APSAD participated in this event by presenting the following publications:
« l’Habitation au Liban » by Jacques Liger-
Belair, a book about Lebanese Architecture ; « Connaissance du Liban » by Samia Kfouri
Nassar about Lebanon’s historical places ; « Sel
du Liban “ by Hafez Jureige, about the
preparation o Lebanese Salt; “Centre Ville”
de May Abboud Abi Akl regarding the
excavations of the Down Town District and
finally “Diversity of moths in Lebanon” by
Abdul Mun’im Talhouk, about the insects’ Role
in the Environement.

The first national conference for the city of Nabatiyeh under the heading - August 2007
The first national conference for the city of Nabatiyeh under the heading "primary principles to save the heritage" took place on the 23 / 24 / and 25 of August 2007.
The conference was divided into three sessions for three consecutive days.
APSAD was represented by one of its EC members : Architect Mrs. Mona Hallak.

National Heritage Day - May 2006
Among APSAD’s important activities is the Heritage Day
organized by the Ministry of Culture, which takes place every year the 3rd Thursday of May , since 2002. This has become a traditional day involving for the occasion , activities, free of charge, and extending over several days.
Many cultural events take place on these days, registering a large number of visitors, and participants – a clear indication of the growing interest of the Lebanese for their history. APSAD has collaborated with great enthusiasm in these activities every year since their beginning.
The last National Heritage Day took place From 15 to
21 May 2006, with the collaboration of the National Foundation of Heritage , the Association for the Protection of Old Buildings and Sites in Lebanon-APSAD-, the Saradar Foundation and Baldati.com
The program consisted of :
-Visiting the National Library with the collaboration of
Saradar Foundation
- Visiting the - Old Houses in Beirut - with the collaboration
of APSAD
- Visiting the towns of Ghazir- Dlepta - with the collaboration
of APSAD Kesrwan-Jbeil Committee
- Visiting the city of - Jezzine - with the collaboration of
Baldati.com
- Visiting the city of –Tripoli - with the collaboration of
Dr. Rawia Majzoub and the proffessors and students of
the Center of Lebanese University of Tripoli
- Visiting several towns in the South - Marjayoun –
Ebel el Saki – Hebaria - Hasbaya with the collaboration
of the Municipality of Ebel El Saki
- Visiting – Baalbeck - with the collaboration of Baldati.com
